Future plans at Flagstone

Your life will take on a whole new adventure as Peet’s Flagstone comes to life in the coming years. 

Peet Flagstone’s masterplan was developed with the following design themes in mind to create Queensland’s most liveable region.

The first stage of the new Flagstone CBD is currently being planned. This will be the main business hub for the entire Greater Flagstone region.

The central shopping precinct will match major complexes like the Logan Hyperdome or Westfield Garden City with big name retailers, hotel, restaurant and entertainment services, community amenities, such as an outdoor cinema and swimming pool, as well as state-of-the-art library, and health and educational facilities.

Everyone will be able to find their own special place at Flagstone with 12,000 new homes offering stylish, affordable living, from city apartments to family homes.

Residents will live in unique neighbourhoods that will form six villages that surround the CBD. Each village will have their own school and main street and all homes will be within short walking distance of parks and recreation facilities in streets that are friendly, safe and perfect for walking or cycling. Numerous new schools and educational facilities will create lifelong learning opportunities for the whole family and up to 30,000 local jobs will give you the chance to wave commuting goodbye.

More than 330 hectares of open space will create large ribbons of green, offering residents a choice of active and passive recreation, with two major regional parks, five district parks, landscaped gardens, adventure playgrounds, sports grounds and cycle paths connecting neighbourhood activity centres.

The Flagstone masterplan brings together the latest urban design ideas from around the world to create a thriving, happy community that is focused on the future. Innovative planning will cater for people at all stages of life and bring a new range of affordable housing onto the market - from trendy city apartments and shopfront home offices, to traditional family homes, and relaxed retirement living.
Flagstone is well connected. State-of-the-art technology is being built in to all design plans and current land releases are already serviced by the national broadband network.
A detailed transport strategy will streamline the road network and encourage alternative travel. In stage one, this includes 12km of on-road cycleways and more than 20km of shared cycle and pedestrian paths connecting neighbourhoods with local amenity centres and schools.

Efficient public transport is crucial and Peet is working with State and Federal agencies to bring new services online, including bus services to the city and surrounding employment zones, and a proposed future passenger rail service.

The beautiful natural environment is one of Flagstone’s greatest assets and we are making the most of it.

Four natural waterways will be enhanced and preserved along with 80 hectares of conservation habitat for native plants and animals.
